word on the street

Deep Trees is an indie electro-pop project from Western Massachusetts, led by songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Summer Redko. Blending retro synth textures, jangly guitars, and emotionally direct songwriting, the project balances digital production with an unmistakably human core.
Redko’s early career was spent assisting in recording studios on sessions for both major and independent labels. In addition to her solo work, she has accumulated a growing list of film and television credits, bringing a technical precision and deep curiosity to her songwriting and production process.
Recent singles “Extraordinary” and “Turn Out the Light” showcase Deep Trees’ evolving sound — rhythm-driven, atmospheric, and emotionally grounded — with contributions from drummer Nik Hughes (Bush, Bishop Briggs), bassist Luca Giachi (Sony/BMG, Universal), and reggae horn player Victor Mejia. The songs move through heartbreak, euphoria, and nostalgia, with polished production that still feels personal.

Grounded in a DIY approach, Deep Trees writes and produces her own music, inviting collaborators into the process as each song evolves.
A new single, “Counting Raindrops on Sidewalks,” arrives everywhere in spring 2026.
